This is my latest attempt to "rinse and repeat" the paradigm that has worked so well at 52 Things (For another example of this paradigm in action, check out my original 12 Weeks site.)
I am an actor. I want to be a better actor. Over the next 12 months my goal is to gain experience as an actor and develop my skills. I want to break that goal into manageable parts that are S.M.A.R.T. The 52 Things paradigm seeme to be the best way to do that.
I have no control over whether or not I'm hired as an actor, so it's important for me to focus on the things that I do have control over. Putting myself out there. Submitting headshots/cover letters consistently. Going to open calls. Signing up for and attending classes. Developing my skills thru consistent actions each week. Breaking down the non-specific "I want to be a good actor" into actionable "widgets to crank" (to borrow a phrase from David Allen).
Here are "The Rules":
I'll keep a running list of the projects I'm completing over the next 12 weeks below, or you could always subscribe to my RSS feed.
This won't be perfect.
There may be mistakes.
Then again, that's the point isn't it?
See you on the other side!
